The producer's story
An old tradition of Neamț County, the craft of making masks has been and continues to be an occupation embraced by some of the folk artists of these lands. Daring to say through masks what words cannot express, the craftsmen leave behind unique and original works, true treasures of folk expressiveness. Blending inventiveness with traditionalism, folk craftsman Vasile Ciocarlan creates not just masks but stories – about one person, about another, about anyone.
